Tour 1: Between two Kneipp spas, start Brilon

On this tour, the two Kneipp spas show their varied side. Water plays a major role here - with a section along the Ruhr and the Möhne, but the old Hanseatic town of Brilon with its historic buildings and picturesque half-timbered alleyways is also a place to linger and take a breather.

The first section of the tour leads along the Möhne out of town via junctions 12 and 09 to the Scharfenberg junction at junction 10. From there, the tour takes you through the Brilon districts of Scharfenberg, Rixen, past the Altenbürener Mühle mill, until you finally reach junction 19 in Esshoff.
On the way to Nuttlar, you cross the highest freeway bridge in NRW. At junction 18, cycle a short distance upstream along the RuhrtalRadweg to point 17 in Antfeld. There you can take a detour to the Kneipp spa in Olsberg (junction 16).
From junction 17, the route climbs gently along the cycle path to the Altenbüren district of Brilon and continues over the heights to Brilon, where you reach the Altstadt with its historic market square.
