Old railroad carriage Sichtigvor

Directly on the MöhnetalRadweg, you can explore an old railroad carriage in Sichtigvor, which, together with an exhibition, is reminiscent of the old railroad station. The two railroad carriages represent the passenger traffic of the time on the now disused railroad line. From 1899 to 1960, there was rail traffic between Brilon, Belecke and Soest. Four pairs of trains passed along the line every day. However, with the development of the bus, passenger services were discontinued around 1960. Ten years later, freight traffic was also discontinued. In 2004, the first wagon was placed there as a memorial, the second followed in 2009. Next to the wagons on display is the building of the old station, which is now used as a restaurant, for example by cyclists on the MöhnetalRadweg, which leads from Brilon via the town of Warstein to Arnsberg. The lovingly designed model railroad layout is well worth a visit.
