The bike tour starts at Germany’s oldest town hall in Brilon’s Altstadt and passes by the Brilon train station. Right at the start, you’ll encounter the route’s only climb, up to the Wülfte district and on to Alme. There, in the idyllic Mühltal valley, the Alme River springs from more than a hundred individual streams—one of the strongest and cleanest spring outlets in Germany. The nature reserve captivates visitors with its enchanting natural beauty.
All the way to where the Alme flows into the Lippe in the historic imperial and episcopal city of Paderborn, leisure cyclists will discover many more sights worth seeing. These include the Ringelstein Castle ruins, Wewelsburg Castle high above the Alme Valley, the 750-year-old Mittelmühle mill, and the Baroque Jesuit Church in Büren. The final stop on the bike tour is the expansive castle and riverside park at the Renaissance Neuhaus Castle.
Please note that the Alme-Radweg runs for about 4 km along the winding country road 637 from the intersection of the B480 and L637 before the route continues off the road starting at the Multhäupter Hammer!

Directions
From Brilon’s market square to Fünfbrücken, following the Möhnetalradweg. Then up to Wülfte to the Almequellen. Next, take the L637 to Multhäupter Hammer, and from there, follow the bike trail: Harth – Siddinghausen – Weine – Büren – Brenken – Ahden – Wewelsburg – Niederntudorf – Alfen – Borchen – Wewer – Paderborn – Neuhaus Castle
